What's included

Every agent bundle includes

The list below is what you get for the published rate. There are no separate statutory add-ons, no per-seat platform fees, and no hidden equipment line items.

Base salary (above local minimum wage)

Every agent is paid above the provincial minimum wage that applies to their role and location, benchmarked annually.

Indonesian payroll processing

PT Lima Cakar Bumi runs payroll on a monthly cycle with detailed payslips, year-end reports, and audit trail.

PPh 21 tax withholding and year-end filing

Indonesian income tax (PPh 21) is withheld each pay period and reconciled in the annual SPT filing.

BPJS Kesehatan (national health insurance)

Mandatory national health insurance is enrolled on day one of employment, with the employer share covered.

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (employment social security)

JHT, JP, JKK, and JKM social-security programs are enrolled and the employer portion is included in the bundle.

THR (holiday allowance)

Religious holiday allowance (Tunjangan Hari Raya) is paid per Indonesian law and bundled into the annual cost.

Dedicated account manager

One named account manager owns the cohort, runs weekly 1:1s, and is on call for escalations.

KPI dashboard (accuracy, AHT, CSAT, throughput)

Live dashboards surface production metrics at the agent and cohort level. Weekly and monthly reviews are standard.

30-day replacement guarantee

Any hire that does not meet agreed KPIs inside 30 days is replaced from the active shortlist at no extra cost.

NDA + IP-assignment agreements

Mutual NDA and a client-specific IP-assignment addendum are signed before any names, profiles, or trial work are shared.

What moves the price

The 5 levers that change the final number

The published ranges are deliberately wide so that any of these five levers can pin down the order of magnitude before we build a custom quote. Each card below is a real driver we walk through on every scoping call.

Shift pattern
APAC full overlap, US evening, EMEA morning, and 24/7 split shifts are the common patterns. Night-heavy and 24/7 follow-the-sun coverage carry a premium because of shift differential and overtime costs.
Channel coverage
Chat and email are the baseline. Voice (inbound or outbound), WhatsApp Business, social DMs, and helpdesk platforms each add a small layer of cost tied to tooling and voice-readiness screening.
Program size
Pilot (1-3 agents) is priced for flexibility. Standard (5-20) and scale (50+) cohorts unlock volume efficiency in screening, onboarding, and account management, reflected in the per-agent rate.
SLA depth
Tighter accuracy, AHT, or CSAT thresholds raise screening effort and shift supervision. Programs with custom KPIs, QA scoring rubrics, and escalation SLAs are quoted on top of the published band.
Contract length
Pilot (30 days), quarterly, and annual terms are all supported. Longer commitments unlock a 5-10% discount plus priority shortlist access and a senior account manager.

Cost comparison

Zipang vs US in-house hire (blended cost)

A fully-loaded US in-house customer support hire typically costs USD 4,000-6,000 per month once you add salary, benefits, equipment, office space, and manager time. The same role through Zipang runs USD 600-1,500 per agent per month, all-in.

US in-house CS

$4,000–$6,000

per month, all-in

Salary, benefits, equipment, office space, and the manager time spent on hiring and oversight are all on the client.

Zipang CS bundle

$600–$1,500

per agent per month, all-in

Salary, payroll, PPh 21, BPJS, THR, account manager, KPI dashboards, NDA, and 30-day replacement are all bundled.

Savings

60–80%

on a fully-loaded basis

The gap comes from local salary benchmarks, the bundled compliance model, and removing the in-office overhead from the cost stack.

Pricing FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions we hear most often when clients are scoping cost. The ranges match what the rate table and JSON-LD on this page publish — no marketing inflation.

How much does it cost to hire an Indonesian remote worker through Zipang?
All-in monthly cost per agent typically lands between USD 500 and USD 1,800 depending on role, shift pattern, and channel coverage. Customer support runs USD 600-1,500, virtual assistant USD 500-1,200, data entry USD 500-1,000, AI data annotation USD 700-1,800, and content moderation USD 700-1,500. Every bundle includes base salary, Indonesian payroll, PPh 21, BPJS Kesehatan, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, manager oversight, KPI dashboards, and a 30-day replacement guarantee.
What is included in Zipang's all-in pricing?
Every bundle covers base salary (above local minimum wage), Indonesian payroll processing, PPh 21 tax withholding and year-end filing, BPJS Kesehatan, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, THR (holiday allowance), a dedicated account manager, KPI dashboards (accuracy, AHT, CSAT, throughput), a 30-day replacement guarantee, and NDA + IP-assignment agreements. There are no separate statutory add-ons and no per-seat platform fees on top of the published range.
How does Zipang's pricing compare to a US in-house hire?
Bundled, fully-loaded US in-house customer support typically runs USD 4,000-6,000 per month when you add salary, benefits, equipment, office space, and manager time. Zipang's all-in customer support bundle is USD 600-1,500 per agent per month, which works out to roughly 60-80% savings on a fully-loaded basis. The gap is similar for virtual assistant, data entry, and content moderation roles.
Are there separate fees for BPJS, PPh 21, and THR?
No. BPJS Kesehatan, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, PPh 21 withholding, and THR are all bundled into the published all-in rate. Clients see one consolidated invoice per cohort with no surprise statutory add-ons. The legal employer of record (PT Lima Cakar Bumi) carries the local compliance burden.
Can I hire a single agent, or is there a minimum team size?
There is no minimum team size. Most clients start with a 1-3 person pilot to validate fit, KPIs, and shift coverage on a defined queue, then scale. The pricing model is per agent and works the same way for a single VA and a 50-seat program. The pilot terms roll into the long-term contract without re-screening or re-negotiation.
How is the final price calculated?
Final pricing is a function of five levers: (1) shift pattern (APAC full, US evening, EMEA morning, or 24/7 split shifts), (2) channel coverage (chat, email, voice, WhatsApp), (3) program size (pilot 1-3, standard 5-20, scale 50+), (4) SLA depth (accuracy, AHT, CSAT thresholds), and (5) contract length (pilot, quarterly, annual). We publish ranges by role so the order-of-magnitude is clear before a custom quote.
Do you offer contractor (non-employee) pricing?
No. Zipang only places W-2-style employees through our Indonesian entity PT Lima Cakar Bumi. That structure is what lets us carry the PPh 21, BPJS, THR, and IP-assignment burden on your behalf. Contractor-only arrangements would push the local compliance and IP risk back to the client, which is the exact problem our managed model is designed to remove.
What payment methods does Zipang accept?
Invoicing is in USD by default and supports bank wire (USD and IDR), with card and select regional rails available for smaller pilots. Payment terms are net-30 for standard contracts, with net-15 available on annual commitments. We invoice per cohort so finance teams can map spend to the specific team or program that produced it.
Are there any setup or onboarding fees?
No separate setup or onboarding fee for standard programs. For specialized cohorts (custom quiz design, complex integration work, or non-standard SLAs) we sometimes charge a one-time program design fee, disclosed up front. Screening, shortlist curation, and onboarding are bundled into the monthly rate.
Is there a discount for long-term contracts?
Yes. Annual commitments typically unlock a 5-10% discount versus quarterly or month-to-month terms, in addition to priority shortlist access and a dedicated senior account manager. Multi-year programs (24+ months) are quoted on a case-by-case basis and can include volume tiers, custom KPI targets, and a named delivery lead.
